Franklin and Palisades Fires Memory Project
The purpose of this project is to document and preserve the shared experience of the Franklin (December, 2024) and Palisades (January, 2025) Fires, a moment in history that deeply impacted our campus community and neighbors. Through gathering and preserving their stories, photographs, and videos, the project aims to ensure future generations can understand the scope and details of this experience, told from their perspective. The project is ongoing and contributions are welcome any time.
Death in Cambodia, Life in America Podcast Collection
Pepperdine Libraries has partnered with Dorothy Chow, the creator of the Death in Cambodia, Life in America Podcast, to preserve podcast episodes and related materials. The materials are one of the largest audio collections about the Khmer Rouge or Cambodian Genocide ever created. The podcast centers around Dorothy's father, Robert Chau's, experience living through and eventually escaping the Khmer Rouge, going on to become a successful entrepreneur in the donut industry in California.
